Denzel & Pauletta Washington—38 years

There aren’t many long-lasting Hollywood romances, but Denzel and Pauletta Washington are proving otherwise. They have been married for nearly four decades, and their children are now making their own investments in Hollywood. Denzel praises Pauletta for assisting in maintaining a solid family bond, and she praises her husband as well.When asked how she knew Denzel was the one for her, she recalls a meeting they had before dating.

Pauletta said they met on the set of the film Wilma. Pauletta clarified that she had gone to a friend’s play and had arrived late, so she immediately took a seat without looking around.  At intermission, when the lights came up, she and Denzel were sitting next to each other. Destiny! They began dating and married about five or six years later. Denzel and Pauletta both admitted that he proposed more than once – three times in Pauletta’s case – and that she only said yes on the third attempt.
