Dustin Hoffman & Alexandra Hoffman
Dustin Hoffman’s Net Worth: $100 Million
Dustin Hoffman is a film director and actor. Over the years, he has earned credit for playing antiheroes and emotionally weak characters across various film genres. Robert De Niro even described him as “an actor with the everyman’s face who personified the heartbreakingly human.” Hoffman knew he wanted to pursue a career in the arts from a young age. Because of that, he enrolled at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music; later, he decided to pursue acting and trained at the Pasadena Playhouse in Los Angeles. His first Academy Award nomination came for his performance as Benjamin Braddock in Mike Nichols’ highly acclaimed and iconic film The Graduate (1967).
Alexandra, the youngest of Hoffman’s children, followed in his footsteps and became an actor. She starred in Moonlight Mile in 2002 and dated Jonah Hill at one point. Thanks to James Franco, their relationship became the inspiration for the film Why Him? The story revolves around a parent attempting to prevent his daughter’s immature boyfriend from proposing to her. In addition, it was inspired by Hill’s apprehensions about spending time with the Hoffmans on vacation and their lavish lifestyle.
