Though he is best known for his movie series The Nutty Professor and Dr. Dolittle, there are several acting credits to Murphy’s name. Of course, Coming to America will not be as iconic as it is if it weren’t for him.

With these on his list, Murphy has been consistently one of the highest-paid actors in the world back in the ‘80s, ‘90s, and 2000s. During these times, he earned $20 million per film. He even got $70 million from Netflix in 2019 for delivering a series of comedy specials. If these numbers are not enough, Murphy has earned over $300 million in salaries and backend royalties, making him $200-million rich today.
