The price was definitely right for Bob Barker as he earned an annual salary of $10 million on his last decade of hosting the game show The Price is Right. Barker, who hosted the long-running show for 35 years, will forever be remembered as an ultimate icon in the world of game shows. Credits to his onscreen charisma, his popular status paired together with his dedicated daytime fans has established his radio and TV career of over 50 years.
In the ‘50s, he was given his own radio show titled The Bob Barker Show, which ran for six years. Subsequently, he moved from radio to television and started hosting Truth or Consequences from 1956 until 1974. As we’ve mentioned, Barker began hosting The Price Is Right in the early ’70s until he announced his retirement on October 31, 2006, finally stepping down as the game show’s host in 2007.
