Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson is one of the most prominent pop stars today. Coming from the musically talented Jackson family, among its members include Marlon, Joe, and its most well-known, Michael, she began her career in 1976. She began her music career in 1982. Her two albums, Control and Rhythm Nation 1814, are given credit for cementing her status as a pop icon. During the 1990s, she further gained significant successes, with her albums Janet and The Velvet Rope made her into a sex symbol. However, her infamous performance with Justin Timberlake during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show caused her career to derail.
Today, Jackson has managed to reestablish her successful career, albeit not as successful as in the past. In 2015, she released her album Unbreakable and went on a world tour. In addition, she has also established her record label, Rhythm Nation. Recently, she has conducted a concert residency in Las Vegas and has performed in a variety of festivals.
