Howie Long
Howie Long may be a familiar face on TV, working as a studio analyst for Fox Sports, but he was one of the best defensive ends during his time with the Raiders. His biggest break in his budding career was being chosen to replace an injured player on his team. This was one opportunity that he did not want to miss, and he showed what he was made of. He was later named Most Valuable Player.
His career was at its peak when he was in the Raiders which made him a valuable addition to the team. He was considered to be the all-around guy for the group which made him a huge asset. Long made it to the Pro Bowl 8 times throughout his career and was part of the All-Pro team five times. The best defensive player announced his retirement when he was 34. To his credit, becoming a sports analyst has helped him earn well while sharing his knowledge about the sports.
